Part of the series "Elkhart Lake blueprint drawings", the work adopts shapes and textures from the environment of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. It features traces, documentation samples created with the method of frottage, a way of capturing an element's shape or texture on paper. The drawing is created with the application of wax crayon on fine Japanese Hanshi paper. "21/07/2014. Elkhart Lake blueprint drawing III" was made on July 21st 2014 in the Elkhard Lake old train station yard. A wrought iron scroll, the wooden surface of an old buggy and the metallic Elkhart Lake Depot. sign appear as traces on the work. On the upper left corner is the trace of a metallic plate nailed on the buggy writing “No 122, THE COLLECTION OF WIESTLEY W. YUNG, SHEBOYAN WI.” "Blueprint drawings" is ongoing work, part of the project "Metamorphosis/USA". The project is unfolding in real time during a three month journey across the United States, July-October 2014. More information on the project can be found at http://www.vlassopoulou.com/usa.html Note: The 11x14 inches print format reproduces the work in its original dimensions. In all three formats available, the white border is slightly larger than the default 3 inch border provided by Saatchi, in order for the work to maintain its original proportions, and in the case of the 11x14 print, its exact size (9.5x13 in).

Multidisciplinary artist, whose current work "Metamorphosis" explores the poetic potential of urban elements and the city as a link to common human experience. Originating in her home city of Athens the project evolved in dialogue with diverse urban environments including Berlin, Germany, Belgrade, Serbia and Chicago, USA, returning to its point of origin with the intervention "no water" tracing a link between Greece's historical past and the country's current predicament. The latest installments, "Metamorphosis/Montreal" and "Metamorphosis/In transit" explore the notions of time and landscape through the form of the sequence.
