About The Artwork

Mat / Wooden frame / Glass actual picture size 30 х 21 cm actual mat/mount/passe-partout size 37,5 x 28 cm (paper-based museum board, grey color) actual frame size: 42 x 32,5 x 1,5 cm I had this view every night looking out of the window in my gym on Prager Platz. There were usually a lot of beer lovers downstairs. Once I brought a notebook with some black paper and a couple of pastel crayons with me. It rained a bit that autumn evening and the street got empty. When I came home, I added some color to this little drawing. I assume you can still have this view out of the window in the gym relaxation room. Berlin. Regen. Prager Platz. -

While sleeping I saw most of my works. Something was created when I ran across upon it accidentally in the real world and it amazed me. In my childhood I used to study at art school. From then onwards I've been drawing and painting all through my life. I'm obsessed with observing and exploring the processes of change in the arts. There are two most intriguing mysteries which make me fall into thinking and take the painter's brush: the transformation of medieval arts to the Renaissance and the transition from Art Nouveau to what is usually defined for us as contemporary form. Many of my works are often called "Realism" or "Neorealism" in terms of artistic manner, but I don't see them that way. My artistic intention is exactly the exploration of changes and transitions in art and, accordingly, in human, who exists during these changes. Ideally, I would add a short commentary to each of my works or even write a manifesto to all of them. But this would be a big project which I still have not brought myself to realize.
