Many legends and myths have been written about them in the cultures of different peoples. Of course, in these legends, the main ability of lizards is glorified - to change color depending on the surrounding conditions and internal state. The color of a chameleon depends on its emotional state. And if the color suddenly coincides with the surrounding background, then this is exactly a coincidence, nothing more. Chameleon skin contains several layers of special cells, so-called chromatophores (from the Greek chgoma - "color", and phegein - "to carry"), each with its own color pigments. Changing the ratio between the layers forces the skin to reflect different types of light, making the chameleon a walking color music. According to the runes, the chameleon symbolizes protection.
