About The Artwork

One day in a shady place that used to be considered as less attractive part of a garden, I found a pleasant surprise, abundant blue flower clumps. These flowers took a place in my mind since. By chance I got them again from a garden centre. This time I used paper to record the story that the shy flowers flourishing in the shade told me. Once upon a time there was a prince on a journey to find a missing princess not in the sky not in the water but on earth to share life with him. A princess in blue. Cinderella. The prince walks into the horizon with a tear in his eye. All he saw was blue. You might have noticed the heart shape of flowers deep in foliage. It is a diamond necklace the prince brought with him for his princess. The still missing princess. Cinderella of Europe. Composer Andre Rieu gave a brilliant meaning for this endless search. I add drama by including the insect bite marks on the leaves!. The vein and live cells of leaves in my drawings since the 2020 pandemic is my awareness about the important of our vein and live cells. Later, I learnt the name of the flower. Cineraria. A shy princess. I used pencil technique to make each flower shine like a star or a diamond and to indicate millions stars of the journey. Japan way of seeing flowers in landscape helps the composition. Oriental way of using one single colour helps in colour composition of this piece of work. Sophisticated simplicity, art of Japan helps to create something for the baby eyes inside ourselves. Or it is just for me, something I can't deny but love it. Beauty in the baby eyes.
