About The Artwork
After the rains that flooded Northland and Auckland city in summer 2023, I went out and took a cutting of the plant. The dead flower ( like a floor mob) was included to show the support for the new bloom. Life goes on. Gazania naturalises in New Zealand since 1940. Some of them grace the summer paths toward the sea beautifully, as I remember.
