The territory of historical settlement of Lemkos in the Carpathians on the northern slopes of the Low Beskydy and partly the S Сdecky Beskydy between the rivers Oslava in the east and Poprad in the west. It is located in the southeast of modern Poland (in the southeastern part of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and the extremely southwestern part of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship). Sometimes the concept of "Lemkivshchyna" is interpreted in a more expanded meaning and includes, in addition to the southeastern regions of Poland, also the northeastern regions of Slovakia and the northwestern regions of the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine.I made the borders of this territory in the form of a Lemko embroidery. This is an illustration to the poem by Piotr Skrijka from Krakow "Constantine VII, Porfirogeneta" This is a scratchboard, the black ink on coated paper, coated with wax. Single copy.
