About The Artwork
An overdose victim lies dead on a commuter rail platform. His body is reflected in the puddle below him. In the distance, a woman is seen walking away, unaware or unconcerned, or making a conscious decision to focus on her own life and give up on things she cannot change. This is also an image about mortality and the transience of life; we will all be "outbound" at some point, like the addict who has become a victim of his illness.
