About The Artwork
This portrait was made during an exhibition in a famous prision in Ushuaia, called Presidio del Fin del Mundo. This place is filled with powerful energy because of all its history. I get to choose black and white ink whenever I feel in an intense, introspective state, as I was at that moment. In this particular case I was inspired while reading on Lao Tse's Tao Te King.

I mostly use monochromatic ink on paper by drawing with a nib that gives a dark but refined expressionist atmosphere that I mostly use to illustrate covers or art pieces. A second style where I converge one line drawing with watercolor which gives a more playful, naive style that works excellent for children illustations or magazine editorials.
