About The Artwork
This is a commission for my friend Ryan Floeter as a gift for Ryan's brother. Ryan's brother and his sister in law are the parents in this family portrait. The children are their newly adopted natural sibling from Hungary. It is essentially a celebration of a "new family." They live in Hawaii and the clothing certainly reflects the climate. These tropical patterns were a huge challenge and gave me a chance to exaggerate more abstract qualities in my execution.
