About The Artwork

This is the Zinc Rolling Mill in Katowice. It was interesting to walk around the museum. I could smell oil and fumes from the machines. The sunlight hitting through the windows added to the atmosphere of the place.

Śląska tea o'clock, 13.09.2020 TVP info, Poland National TV appearance It is a story about a young artist from England, who, looking for himself and inspiration in his constant travels, finally found himself in Silesia. And this mining, coal Silesia, enchanted him so much that instead of becoming another, short stop on the journey, it became his second home. It is the story of an Englishman sketching the Silesian mines with coal, a story about finding himself in the difficult Silesian world. But also a story about what we, Poles, can learn from foreigners. Report by Ilona Ptak.
