A digitally created image of what a statue of Kokopelli might look like: A statue of Kokopelli, carved from grey stone, sits on a pile of boulders on a hilltop in the wilderness of the American West. Kokopelli is a fertility deity from American Indian cultures of the Southwest. He is possibly based upon a real type of person, a kind of travelling merchant, storyteller, and overall entertainer, a Native American equivalent to a European bard, troubadour, or minstrel. I created this virtual sculpture several years ago for a scene with a more Southwestern environment (https://daniel-eskridge.pixels.com/featured/kokopelli-sunset-daniel-eskridge.html). I wanted to use it again in a scene with more natural colors: blue sky, green trees, etc. How I make art like this: http://fineartbydaniel.com/2017/12/18/how-i-make-art-3d-rendering/ Tools I used to make this: http://fineartbydaniel.com/resources/ How I sell art: http://fineartbydaniel.com/quick-start-guide-selling-art-online/ Thanks for looking! I want my art to be the doorway to ones imagination, a spark that leads to daydreams of journeys into history, fantasy worlds, and even the occassional dark lands of horror. Hence, I refer to my art as work as "Adventurous Art". Growing up in the foothills of the Appalachians, I've spent a great deal of time outdoors hiking, fishing and camping in the forests of north Georgia. Consequently, nature and organic forms play a big role in my images. I like to portray animals and creatures, but I’ll depict the occasional person as well; and almost always set in a natural environment. My art has been featured in the pages of Wild West, natural history, and horror magazines. I've had illustrations appear on everything from the covers of fantasy novels to the science sections of newspapers. A few of my works have even found their way into museums of science and history. So, welcome...and sit back and enjoy the adventure.
