Appaloosas have always captured my imagination. Their individual coats seem to project their personalities for all to see. The background of this painting is painted with shades of yellow and reddish brown. The horse is drawn with purple lines and the shapes are white and shades of purple, blue and a bit of green. The interest in this painting is on the linework of the loosely sketched drawing and the texture of the freely applied paint. The painting is ready to hang. The painted canvas has been applied to a treated panel of 100% birchwood. The panel has been finished in a deep walnut color to complete the artwork.
