I think it's an interesting way to show your work not just as an image but as an art object. The process of painting the leaves went through several stages, using tiny swirl brush strokes, until the desired tone of yellow was finally achieved, which means a lot of patience to add different layers of colours, and not only yellowish ones but white, brown, red and green too, as the reflection of the sun always does in nature. The hardest thing was to decide where the spot of highlight must go to give a realistic resemblance of the sunlight. Speaking of the barks, at first we may feel like using only black and white to achieve the desired result. However, if we look closely we'll find other colors in it, such as purple, blue and yellow. This tree is well known for its lightweight wood and in fact, Aspis, the aspen's Greek name, means shield, and also amongst the Celts its lightweight wood was used for making shields. That lightness is what I tried to transmit in my painting. You can see the complete creation process of this artwork in this link http://etsygorinart.blogspot.com.es

She is an emerging artist inspired by color and nature, creating works where even the smallest things have their place. She employs classic techniques as watercolor to achieve the immediacy and spontaneity of the medium and oil to create subtle color harmonies, relatively static compositions and simple forms, to make up imaginary, dreamlike landscapes, sometimes as taken from children's books. Following Walter Benjamin’s thoughts, she always tries to give the ‘aura’ to her works, that is, investing an object with human qualities and emotions, where the painting value will come largely from its exclusivity. Her paintings and illustrations hang in private collections around the world.
