About The Artwork
For a long time I've been wanting to combine my style of portraiture with my modern style. I also knew I wanted a subject that was a little different, was a little crazy and would put a smile on your face. Heading in a conservative way initially with the guinea pig and to show off maybe a bit of realism, I soon realised that that style really didn't feel right to what I wanted the painting be. I wanted the guinea pig to be crazy, look psychotic and ever so slightly mad! This of course meant scrapping any conservative approach, which meant loosening up and being more carefree. I am so glad I took a chance and just went with it. I hope this piece reflects freedom of movement and one crazy looking guinea pig!! As with all of my paintings I give the back of the canvas a bit of TLC too. Backed with paper, date stamped, hooked and wired ready to hang, this painting has an all round professional finish.

I’m an English artist from the Midlands, who now resides in South Australia in the beautiful Adelaide Hills where I display my work in exhibitions and establishments around the state.
