Gosia Kulik is Polish artist. She sees herself as traveler, a vagabond. Lack of permanent place helps her main- tain constant amazement of the world. She is always ready for a change, fasci- nated by opposites. Even small cultural differences are a source of inspiration for her - during searching for these differences she is in con- stant motion. Kulik works in fields of painting, illus- trations and comics. Gosia Kulik is interested in narrative aspects of the visual arts: relationships and paradoxes between im- ages and between images and words. She playfully invents her own stories about ordinary people who are immersed in unusual situations. Dirty, dark and shameful part of their lives, which she is drawing / writing seemingly appears to be normal. It is exciting for her to discover how helpless and alone they can be when they doing everyday banal activities. Kulik is fascinated by stories about the weirdness, which is generated by a seemingly insignifi- cant details. These ostensibly negligible details are keys to understanding the surrounding reality as well as the whole idea of her works. Irony allows her to show the nonsense of human aspirations towards nowhere. Her inspirations are the things already worn, anachronisms, which she embeds in a new context. In this way she can create a funny and also weird results.
