A mockingbird rests on a decorative fountain originally photographed at the Chicago Botanic Garden in this trompe l’oeil acrylic painting on canvas. The mottled sunlight streaming through the leaves and across the face of the satyr on the fountain creates delightful shadows and shapes which enhance the peaceful mood of the painting.
