About The Artwork
I was out walking in Santa Teresa, Rio, when I stumbled accross these amazing cacti that appeared to be growing out of the window and creating some amazing shadows on the wall. . . I wanted to create sharp lines so used masking tape and a roller to apply the paint for the background, then used an old, dry brush to make a contrasting textured window frame. I applied gloss varnish only to the cacti and the window frame, creating an interesting textured effect better seen in the flesh!
