About The Artwork
Many years ago, as a kid, my father took us fishing. We grumbled and sulked all the way ( it was 4:30 in the morning on a Sunday and still dark) to the of this large pond at the edge of a stand of trees. By the time we reached the place the first rays of dawn were hitting the water. It was quite, still and absolutely calm. As an adult I finally get that moment of quiet stillness. That moment has lingered in my memory and I appreciate the value of savouring our moments.Didn’t catch any fish but the quiet ,calm of the early morning has stayed with me forever. I have used only two colours to evoke the feeling of calm in the painting. Painting: watercolour on 100%acid free paper Work: original watercolour Year: 2016 Style: modern, contemporary, minimalist Subject: calm morning Size: 29” X 22” Painting will be delivered unframed, rolled in a tube. I use top grade lightfast paints and acid free archival paper from D’ Arches for all my watercolours.
