The Colosseum is one of the most famous monuments of Antiquity. The artist was attracted by the beauty of architectural forms, harmony and clarity of proportions. The space of the paintings is organized like a theatrical stage. On the left and right, from where the backstage, the composition is framed by images of trees. In the center, the main theme of the picture is revealed - the impressive ruins of the Colosseum. The surrounding vegetation, the remains of stone walls framing the volumetric structure, emphasize its gripping role in the capture. In front of the Colosseum, the artist placed a triumphal arch, also built in antiquity. Monuments of ancient architecture to the master of proof of the immortality of freedom. The inclusion of many figurines in the landscape “revives” the monumental appearance of the bone. The artist exposes a person in the face of history, a contraindication to the eternal - momentary, true - random.
