Cuba 2016 Print

I visited Cuba in 2017, which was a deeply moving experience for me. After decades being economically strangled by the regime the life in Cuba very much reminded me of China in early 1980s. Also it is slowly reforming its economy, taking every step carefully following China. When Fidel Castro died in 2016 the move seems to be bolder and more assured. Hence I see 2016 as a landmark in Cuba’s history. I created this image to symbolise the end of an era. This is the version for prints with computer generated letters superimposed.
