About The Artwork
The Temple at Dakshineshwar near the city of Kolkata is a marvelous example of the 19th century Bengali architecture. The Temple has nine spires or Navaratna. I took a photograph of this Temple as well as made a rough sketch from a distant on a bright summer day. Nearly 3 years later I made this work done on a 300gsm paper.
