My paintings reflect feelings. Geometric shapes create structure inspired by architecture, landscapes, music and interior design. I use the language of bold bright color and repetition. Texture is important in my work as well as glossy surfaces. I try to create a feel of dynamic movement and rhythm. In every painting I hide a secret .message, like a private telephone number, parts of a news letter that a gallery owner extorted artist and blog them, often a drop of my coffee, a past due notice for an account, a dead bug, an eviction notice, a note about how I feel about someone's bad conduct, and sometimes I paint with tears rather than water. The painting tools I use are brushes, credit cards, a potato masher, chopsticks, and templates.
