This artwork belongs to my series called "Mallorca". "Deia" is the name of this work based on a picturesque town on the island of Mallorca. It is a spectacular site and this work is a small tribute to this unique site. It is acrylic, pigments, graphite and casein glue on cotton canvas. The work is stretched on wood and signed on the front and back.

Annabel Andrews was born in the Isle of Wight in 1940 now lives and works in El Escorial near Madrid Spain, where the colour, light and volumes of the mountains inspire her work. As also her friendship with the late Spanish artists Pablo Palazuelo and Jose Guerrero. By preparing her own canvases with home made casein glue base and zinc white the work is light and luminous ready for applying acrylic colours.
