VIEW IN MY ROOM
Artist and poet Jen Goss created this piece as part of her own personal grieving process concerning the recent elections in the US. She chose the figure of a woman which she had seen as a sculpture on the tomb of a 21 year old boy, in Montmartre Cemetery. The grieving mother represented was a self- portrait of the sculptress, Madame CI Didsbury. Jennifer wrote the words at the same time she was making the piece.

Jennifer is a figurative expressionist. She chooses mixed media; paper-based collage, water-media and oils, to express her complex relationship with the visual world. She consciously investigates themes that engage with healing from systemic abuse resulting in a revelation of the innate beauty in the dark places. Her work reflects a paradoxical visual voice that talks of a carefully informed approach to mark making. The mark she makes is truly representative of the birth and journey into an explored life.
