About The Artwork
I am a volunteer for our local Turtle Care group and I wanted to do a piece that symbolised how plastic in our oceans is quietly making our turtles fade away. Plastic bags and released balloons look a lot like the jellyfish that the turtles eat and because of this, there are fewer hatchlings that are able to reach maturity to be able to reproduce themselves. Watercolour with soft pastel highlights on Arches 310gsm rough paper 56 x 76cm.
