About The Artwork
This heavily textured painting was done with a palate knife and heavy body acrylic paints. It was part of a juried show at the Thames Gallery in Chatham, Ontario in their 2014 Eye for Art show. This large piece of driftwood rests on the beach at our cottage in Erieau, Ontario on the shores of Lake Erie. I can't walk past it without photographing it, and will certainly paint it from other angles in the future!
