Un sujet ambivalent pour moi, ce #clinteastwood . Monstre sacré d’Hollywood, icône des #westerns, républicain, grand interprète de justiciers, cowboys et flics à la gâchette facile, macho, voire misogyne, il est aussi le prototype du whitemenprivilege qui a ouvertement appuyé Trump. Qui fait des blagues de mauvais goût au sujet de Caitlyn Jenner et de la génération d’aujourd’hui qu’il qualifie de "pussy generation"… Je ne l’aime pas. Encore moins dans « Les proies ». Mais c’est aussi un réalisateur qui a fait quantité de longs-métrages qui m’ont touchée. Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River, Gran Torino. Je l’ai représenté ici, un peu abîmé, sur fond de bois, gravé, hachuré, travaillé au couteau, avec un peu d’impatience dans le geste. Et une certaine fascination pour ce regard dur, particulier, inimitable.
