If you haven’t heard of this yet, it’s time to get acquainted: before you is the holder of the title “Horse of the Century” and the founder of the horse award for speed. Eclipse (which, by the way, means "eclipse") competed at the races for twenty-three years and was never defeated. He won 11 "King's Cups" awarded to the best horses in Great Britain. No one has yet been able to win so many awards, and he was born on April 1, 1764. In the beginning, he was completely considered completely unpromising due to his short stature. However, he was surprisingly resilient. After the death of the record holder, an autopsy will show: the horse's heart was huge - weighing 6 kilograms 300 grams. The bronze monument of Eclipse can still be seen today at the entrance to Newmarket Hippodrome. The painting is made in a combination of modern and classical styles.
