Eggplants Print

I was born and rised in Barcelona, although going and coming to the countryside every weekend, in the region Alt Emporda from Catalonia where there is a beautiful and small village called Pals. So both landscapes and dynamics contributed to my infancy's experiences, sounds and colours from both the city and the nature provide me lots of sensations and ideas, inspiration. Since I was very little I used to draw all the time, withdrawing myself from reality while doing that, or perhaps establishing a deeper relationship with it... I used to sketch everything around me, sometimes adding a bit of colour, and despite I represented all kind of subjects, animals and portraits were particularly compelling to me, and also alived scenes with a lot of rhythm and movement. Little by little and with the years passing by I became more conscious of my interest in visual music, and I tried to express that phenomenon either with a pencil or a brush. As a teenager, I started focusing my choices in the school in all those subjects related to Art, and after that I went to Paris for four years to learn evetything about it more seriously. In my stay in France I did some studies in History of Art, a school of drawing from real life, and at the same time I went as a free listener in the classes going on in the University of Beaux Arts. During all those years I had the pleasure and the chance to meet wonderful teachers and painters, from whom I learnt a lot. The way is long and misterious, and I am eager to discover it! And at the same time I feel like creating and expressing about each thing that I encounter, each situation and experience that touches me and make me wonder!
