The Eumenides Series...I have been taking what I technically know about traditional landscape compositions and deliberately breaking the so called 'rules'...intentionally leaving gritty bits to meld with delicate parts. I am looking forward - creating a new kind of harmony. If it looks like I am influenced by Turner, I am, but surprisingly just a little. Instead, I see myself as a contemporary artist with the luxury of being influenced by a lot of genres and life experiences to create my own language. This work was created in 2018 and I have kept tucked away it in my private collection. Artists do that sometimes so always feel free to ask if I have anything else in stock...you never know. :) I have just now decided to list it. Eumenides Nº 30 {+} Created with oil paint on archival 100% cotton 300 gsm oil paper {+} Will be carefully packaged and arrive flat, not rolled {+} Signed with full signature and date on the back of artwork, little "R" signed on the front {+} Note: This painting is intended to be matted and framed. The full paper size is 15h x 22w x 0.1d however I am suggesting a 0.5 - 1" crop / mat allowance for the framer to cover the edges where I have masked the sides.
