Farpoint Observatory is internationally known as the site of the discovery of over 600 asteroids and one of the faintest comets discovered by an amateur. The pictured telescope measures 27 inches in aperture, 9 feet 3 inches in length, and weighs 1,600 pounds Acrylic on canvas. Primary color pallette: Raw Umber, Crimson Red, Yellow Ochre. Painted with a #81 knife.
