About The Artwork
Painted on canvas with a combination of ink, acrylics and watercolors. Inspired by sailing off to distant lands, 'Fishing Sloop' was painted not long after returning from a sailing adventure aboard our little ketch named Sea Gypsy. This painting is the second part of a group in which I explore a monochromatic approach to seascapes. The far east influences are evident in the subject matter and the style. Hope you enjoy the rather minimalist approach to the subject matter and palette.
