About The Artwork

This painting took part in the online virtual exhibition “Fragility” In my work, I depicted Fragility in the form of my favorite exotic flowers frangipani and my daughter's thin hand reaching for the flowers... What will happen next? Will she pluck it and then throw it away or will she hold it close to her, enjoying its sweet aroma and let it grow further?… The girl's soul, like these flowers, is also fragile... I teach my children not to pluck flowers for a moment's pleasure. Because fragility is not a reason to break, it is a reason to protect. Color symbolism helped me convey my ideas and feelings. White is the color of purity and innocence. Pink is the color of Romance and Tenderness; the color of Dream and Hope - which are also fragile, but this is only an excuse to treat them more carefully. The work is coated with acrylic varnish.

My name is Yevgeniya (Eugenie - it’s that's the french version of my name ) I’m from Ukraine. I was born in Odessa where did I get my art education in K. D. Ushinsky South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University. I am inspired by nature and people, and traveling gives me new impressions, strength and ideas. For more than 4 years, I have been able to combine my two passions - drawing and traveling. When I paint portraits, landscapes or plants, it seems to me that I am reflecting frozen Time. After all, tomorrow everything can be different. Each of my works is for me an opportunity to mentally return to this already different place, space and feel the feelings experienced again. Each of my sketches or paintings allows you to see something that has already disappeared or has become different... My paintings now live in private collections in Ukraine, Germany, USA ,Norway, France, South Korea and Thailand.
