About The Artwork

I was a teacher at Szeged, and when i decided to move back to Budapest, i got some offers from schools, one of which i really liked. So we went on a field trip with the class, to see how it works out; and it worked well, also they showed me this beautiful sight. Altough i took a different job, i went back to make sketches and photos, and then i made this paining. It took me almost two years to finish this painting, but i've learnt a lot trough the process. Soon I'll finish a larger version of this picture. This version is on canvas, it comes with a very nice frame. I like the composition. Valleys like this can be gorgeous on a midsummer day; the cool depth of the forest is the place where i want to be.

I always wanted to be a writer. How did i end up with paining? It's simple- i had no inspiration in writing. So i went to the teachers training, and there they asked me: "Okay, exactly what do you want to teach?" I had no idea by then, so i choose "Arts&Crafts", becouse that sounded like fun. It turned out pretty soon, that it IS fun, indeed. I graduated as an art teacher; with awful drawing and painting skills, but with a lot of enthusiasm. I went to Szeged, became a teacher, and while i was busy teaching pupils, i was working on my own skills as well. Paining is fascinating. I like to do it- i like it even more than teaching. The process of creation, the preservation of the moment and sight; i want to do this for the rest of my life. So i'm into landscapes now, but also, i want to learn portrait painting/drawing; we'll see if i can come up anything you're interested in. I will try, for sure :)
