About The Artwork
The green telephone is a memory of a time when such phones were used - a time when the sky was blue-er and the grass was greener. It’s a sentimental painting, paying tribute to that memory and giving it a breath of fresh year. I think green is the color of life. Nothing speaks “Alive!” better than green. Painting done with oil paints on fiber canvas in August 2020, on a weekend while watching documentaries about Watergate and Mark Felt.
