This is a still life of a monkey skull on top of a book on a small Japanese desk sitting in front of a blue ceramic hibachi that is partially covered with a piece of black satin cloth. These are all objects that I had in my house where I lived in Kyoto. The painting is small, 25.5 x 36 x 2 cm, and it is ready to hang. I think it looks good the way it is without a frame. The book is a Japanese encyclopedia of anthropology 文化人類学事典.
