About The Artwork
This body of work for my Stones, Paper, Scissors series is inspired by Ugo Rondinone’s Human Nature Souls. The original graphite rubbings for this piece were made from Megalithic stones on Sardinia. Then I make copies of these original ‘drawings’. Then I paint the landscape and tear and cut the copy paper in the shape of the stone then I paint and draw back into it. This Human Nature Soul piece is a departure from the Stones, Paper, Scissors series which is primarily focused on Megalithic stone sites. I’ve also done a piece inspired by a friend’s photos from a trip to Kilimanjaro.
