About The Artwork
This is a work about the nebulous feeling of knowing someone and having them know you. It's an elusive part of relationships, wondering how you can every really know someone. I used my blow torch burn technique to abstract the portrait and get after the uncertainty built into relationships. The work is ink and oil on burned paper. The paper is heavy (300 lb) watercolor paper. The work is unframed.
