The "Lion" is part of the dual painting of a "Lion and Lioness" made in a mixed style of realism and impressionism. Together two portraits of big roaring cats make an amasing set. The portrait of a lion is painted with oil paints and brushes, the multi-layered fine glasing gives a 3D effect, the background is painted with a pallet knife, juicy oil strokes give a three-dimensional structure. This is original one-of-a-kind painting on canvas. Lions are the kings of animals, and I tried to convey the power and strength of these beautiful animals, while creating an eye-catching piece of art that will become the center of attention in the interior.

Hi there, I am Milena. I was born in Russia, Ufa city, When I was 15 y.o. I went to Moscow to study applied art in College of Design and Decorative Arts MGHPA named after S. G. Stroganov. After 5 years of studying arts I was working as an individual artist in different fields of applied art such as embroidery, miniature painting, iconography and my favourite one - amber miniature sculpting. My work is now in many private collections all around the world. About 13 years ago I moved to sunny Cyprus and started a new career as a wedding photographer. I put all my effort and time towards my new career and become a successful photographer. But I realised that I am missing creating art with my hands a lot, so when I got the chance to start painting again, I've painted a series of animal portraits, as wild animals is my second passion.
