About The Artwork

Lions. The big cats. Carnivorous beasts, very strong and brutal. What do we know about them? They specialize in killing and mauling large animals. They live in family groups called Pride, but they are brutal among themselves as well. Males kill each other for possession of a Pride, they kill the puppies of their predecessors to send the females of the newly conquered family into heat and own them. Lionesses cruelly chase their teenage sons out of the pack. The dominant male if he is no longer able to do his duty is killed or chased away, which is like starving because, to be a dominant male, the lion must be large and robust, but this prevents him from hunting. Alone without a family the lion dies of hunger. Being a pack leader despite all the dangers, challenges and fights has its advantage: love! To be loved and adored! Seeing these two lions, he and she close-knit, close neighbors, makes it clear that even such ferocious animals are sentimental animals. This painting represents the love of a couple, the harmony of two lethal creatures in a fulcrum of the highest feeling! Oil painting on canvas. 100x150. Signed on the front. The full signature is encrypted. April-June 2021. There are hooks for hanging.

BIO. Oksana Kolosyuk, Italian hyperrealism artist, was born in Ukraine and has been living and working in Alpago, Italy for 20 years. Oksana came across hyperrealism quite by accident, and it aroused her surprise and admiration at the same time. Since 2016, she has been painting professionally. ARTIST'S STATMENT Who am I? Am I light? Am I color? Am I a soul? I am everything! Since 2016, I have been painting amazing modern interior canvases with oil paints, with the help of banal brushes. My paintings are extremely realistic and captivate viewers with rich colors, depth and clarity of detail. I am attracted by the microcosm of details. With their help, I explore the depths of the macrocosm. The subtlest variations of light and dark strokes take me to the depths of the macrocosm, where I see the small in the big, and the microscopic in the small. I love to give tactile sensations to the viewer and, together with him, plunge into a stunning trance of contemplation with the soul.
