About The Artwork
In this painting I have painted Marilyn Monroe. Born as Norma Mortenson, Monroe spent much of her childhood in foster homes. She started her career as a model but was offered a film contract from twentieth century-fox in 1946. She starred in a number of successful motion pictures during the 1950’s and became a major sex symbol. The film Some like it Hot was one of her biggest successes for which she received a Golden Globe Award. Painting medium is oil paint.
