About The Artwork
This fashion illustration was inspired by the Muccia Prada Spring 2006 collection. Prada is one of my favorite fashion designers, and I love the intellectual and experimental approach of her clothes. She's not afraid to embrace the weird, ugly or unconventional. I like that sentiment, and feel this is why her clothes are often among the most creative in the industry. Here I've created a mixed media painting using ink, gouache, and paper collage elements on paper. The hair was made from digitally altered photographs of violets on my table (taken by me).
