About The Artwork
On Golden Sands we Walk in Spring part of the “ I Dream of Paradise” collection. This original oil painting on canvas was inspired by a trip to the Western Caribbean where I experienced the incredible humid heat on the long narrow flat beaches that seem to go on forever as they disappear into the horizon. Bordered by the forests and under growth the sea calmly laps the shore. As the tide ebbs and flows it causes these amazing hypnotic effect ripples in the water. The colour of the golden sands now wet turns to a deep copper and the sky shimmers a pale electric purple/blue hue on the water as it reflects off the ever changing waves. The concept for the painting is to capture that essence of tropical heat and supreme relaxation that standing on that beach and watching those waves gently lap the shore completely eases the stresses of your day. I hope you enjoy the painting as much as I did in creating it and it makes you feel more relaxed as you look at those waves softly lapping the shore.
