My first life teachers were death and art. While recovering from a near-death experience at 4 years of age, art was my way to heal. Art and death taught me to really see. The tumour that had nearly taken my life and sight gave me many gifts. I looked at the world deeply, questioned, searched for meaning and used art to explore this self-enquiry path. I was commissioned for my first professional portrait piece at 16 years of age and sold watercolours, sketches and acrylics in parking lots as a teenager. My art has been sold to collectors, book publishers, record producers for album covers (including for the international band Soul II Soul), architectural firms and Hallmark greeting cards. Currently, my impressionistic intuitive painting style, articulates my study of non-duality, of the collapse of subject-object duality. Where the boundaries between artist, art and observer merge.
