About The Artwork

Seascape painting – Over the sea to Skye The harmonious blend of hues dances across the canvas, creating a mesmerising visual journey that sparks imagination and stirs emotions. This captivating artwork invites you to immerse yourself in its tranquil and serene ambiance, evoking a sense of calm and wonder. Painting on canvas One of a kind artwork Size: 80 x 120cm Ready to hang Style: Abstract Impressionist Artwork Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity My inspiration is derived from the picturesque coastal vistas I've had the privilege to witness, or the tranquil embrace of the forests and fields that lie just beyond my doorstep, my art serves as a homage to the majesty of our natural surroundings. Through my art, I invite you to join me on a journey of reflection and contemplation, to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and sensations that have shaped my artistic vision. While I do revel in the practical advantages of acrylics and their swift drying time, my creative process is far from impulsive. Each brushstroke is imbued with intentionality, each hue meticulously chosen to evoke a specific emotion or memory.

BIO After embarking on my artistic journey as a mature student at Mansfield School of Art and Design, I found my true calling through self-guided exploration of painting techniques. Despite excelling in the BTEC Art and Design course, I opted not to pursue formal education, preferring to forge my own path. Throughout my life, I've faced mental health challenges, including a diagnosis of Bipolar disorder in my 30s. Yet, within the sanctuary of my attic studio, I discovered both solace and inspiration. My dedication has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Clairefontaine award and The Artist exhibition award. Today, my paintings grace walls in homes and offices not only across the UK but also internationally, reaching admirers in the United States, Europe, and Australia. Statement In my new series of paintings my inspiration is derived from the picturesque coastal vistas I've had the privilege to witness, or the tranquil embrace of the forests and fields that lie just beyond my doorstep, my art serves as a homage to the majesty of our natural surroundings. Through my art, I invite you to join me on a journey of reflection and contemplation, to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and sensations that have shaped my artistic vision. While I do revel in the practical advantages of acrylics and their swift drying time, my creative process is far from impulsive. Each brushstroke is thoughtfully placed, each hue painstakingly chosen to evoke a specific emotion or memory.
