About The Artwork
Selected by the moderator of FB group "Art Work and Living" as an example of unique composition. This painting is inspired by downtown Asheville NC. The vivid sunset over a parking garage stopped me in my tracks. The setting sun transformed asphalt into shades of purple while cement turned turquoise and green. The hilly terrain of Asheville made for wonky telephone-pole and tree angles. The artwork is on unstretched primed archival cotton canvas. The image is painted to the trimmed edges of the canvas. For this reason I recommend a professional framer adhere the painting with archival PVA onto primed cradled primed wood panel. A "floating" frame is ideal as it allows the entire painting to be viewed.
