It is in Poetry and Painting I find my métier. My work reflects my travels and experiences. I seek to create images using my imagination. Colour is very important aspect to my work. I find that it is a hidden language: My art captures the real essence of colours and how they relate to us. My art aspires to give joy and inspiration to others. Looking at my painting is like entering another world. My dynamic paintings are here created with oil paint and some collections are in watercolour. You will find various styles in my works, from bold strokes with a deep awareness of light, to more light hearted illustrations. I am capable of producing fantasy landscapes, re-imagined from representation, as well as delightful illustrations; each painting takes on a life and energy of its own. My paintings have wonderful colours and unique scenes that inspire; an intriguing world of varying emotions... Life and Nature is the Teacher of Art or vice versa My artworks depict the natural and imaginative worlds, and in some instances illustrate my own poetry and writing. I create dynamic and intricate high-contrast paintings in oil or watercolour, of allegorical landscapes. My paintings are regularly exhibited and some are currently enjoyed in private collections. Painting obeys its individual impulse, though broadly you could place my work in the visionary and impressionistic fields. I am most inspired by the landscape, natural forms and the Light in relation to darkness. I see painting as poetry that is seen.
