About The Artwork

Perspective Eye No4 This is a smaller version of my 'perspective – eye' series paintings and it is painted in acrylic paint. Keeping the same colour theory and aspects of this intellectual abstract art, I portrayed the importance of perceiving colour in our mind’s eye by utilising contrasts. It brings the realisation of how colours are perceived in our mind when a certain colour is placed in adjacent with other different colours or hues. That certain colour will not always seem as strong, or perhaps seem even stronger than when it is when contrasted next to certain other colours. Indeed, it may even perceive a different hue when looking at it, hence it is the perception impressed in you imagery. The painting is painted in acrylic paint on a gallery wrapped stretched canvas, which is also painted on all four sides, giving it a complete modern look. It may be hanged on the wall as it is, as intentioned, however, if preferred framed, it would also be suitable.

Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends. Principally a surrealistic and abstract artist, he has a fondness for satire and caricature, with a hint of humour fantasy and the whimsical. Nevertheless, there is a realistic and a sober aspect to some of his work too. His different genres of works are ongoing series which are added to from time to time, whether it is his Aviary, Abstract, Allegoric or any other style he employs. World events, social affairs and politics draw his attention, but he can be inspired by everything and anything seen, heard or felt. His expression can be direct or ambiguous. What is prevalent throughout his work is light, movement and flow, hardly any black is employed, leaning towards enlightenment.
