Slowly adding thin layers of washes and details, this painting has evolved over many years. From the street lamp and the turpentine bottles, to the evergreens and the sunlit canyon; this is a painting about light, and the ways it interacts within the world. The canvas is an extra-deep 3" gallery edge, painted black, so no frame is needed. Hanging hardware is included.

Joshua G. Singer is an artist who’s work oscillates between abstraction and representation. Vivid colors and subtle details create a harmony, linking pop sensibilities with experimental tendencies. Born and raised in the ever-expanding sprawl between Denver and Boulder, Joshua grew up watching his mother paint landscapes. He went on to study art at Metro State University. Exploring the creative process, his art has evolved to include painting, video, writing, and music. Singer’s works are included in several private collections, as well as the Robert Strohmeier Collection at MSU.
