About The Artwork

This is the fifth one of my 'Birdy Trees' series, a collection of artworks that combining watercolour and ink wants to depict the contrast between the dark trees and the colourful birds brightenning up the composition, as it happens so often in nature itself. The title of piece was inspired after a poem by Emily Dickinson, The Trees like Tassels—hit—and swung There seemed to rise a Tune From Miniature Creatures Accompanying the Sun Far Psalteries of Summer Enamoring the Ear The old tree is hearing the music of the birds chirping in a similar way to the music of the simple musical instrument called Psaltery, which is played by humans to sing and dance during summer

She is an emerging artist inspired by color and nature, creating works where even the smallest things have their place. She employs classic techniques as watercolor to achieve the immediacy and spontaneity of the medium and oil to create subtle color harmonies, relatively static compositions and simple forms, to make up imaginary, dreamlike landscapes, sometimes as taken from children's books. Following Walter Benjamin’s thoughts, she always tries to give the ‘aura’ to her works, that is, investing an object with human qualities and emotions, where the painting value will come largely from its exclusivity. Her paintings and illustrations hang in private collections around the world.
